Just in time for the holidays, George Washington's Mount Vernon announces a brand new venture into beer. The first two releases, Mount Vernon Virginia's Porter and Mount Vernon's Rye Cask Aged Porter, are available now.
Mount Vernon is pleased to partner with Dynasty Brewing of Ashburn, Virginia as we bring some of George Washington's favorite beverages back to his home. Mount Vernon Virginia's Porter was inspired by George Washington's love of porter. A rich and creamy dark ale with notes of chocolate and dark roast coffee, it's brewed with barley malt grown in Washington's native Virginia and will be available year-round. Mount Vernon's Rye Cask Aged Porter is a limited edition beer, aged in barrels previously used for whiskey production at Mount Vernon's Distillery. Available while supplies last.
These two porter varieties debut the new line of Mount Vernon beers. Starting in March 2022, there will be regular new releases of seasonal beers inspired by and named for George Washington's famed Rules of Civility. Bottles can be purchased at the Shops at Mount Vernon.
