We're coming to YOU to celebrate America's 250th anniversary! Throughout 2025 and 2026, Mount Vernon will host a series of regional workshops for teachers across the United States on George Washington, Mount Vernon, and the 18th-century world.

Program Locations

Teacher education programs will be offered in these regions of the United States. 

These workshops will be for K-12 teachers and will be completely free to attend, although space is limited. Programs will be announced throughout 2025 and 2026.

Are you coming to my state?

Specific workshop locations will be announced closer to date. In the meantime, sign up for email notifications to learn which states we're visiting!

Why should I attend?

All workshops will explore the biography of George Washington and life at Mount Vernon. The workshops use primary source material, preexisting classroom resources, and current best practices in Social Studies curriculum to investigate the 18th-century world. Each program will be planned based on the needs within your states and/or regions.

How much do the programs cost?

The programs are completely free to educators teaching grades K-12 in the United States.

How long are the workshops?

Each workshop will range between a half and a full day, depending on the location and facilitator.
