Ingredients
- 1 peck (16 pounds) ripe tomatoes
- 5 large white onions
- 4 large green peppers
- 8 cups vinegar
- 3 tablespoons salt
- 3 tablespoons celery seed
- 3 tablespoons white mustard seed
- 2 tablespoons ground cloves
- 3 tablespoons cinnamon
- 5 cups sugar
Directions
Peel tomatoes. Chop onions and green peppers very fine. Put all ingredients in a large kettle and boil for 3 1/2 hours.
Yields 10 to 12 pints
