The George Washington Presidential Library houses rare books, letters, and other items that shed light on the Washingtons, the founding era, and Mount Vernon.

The rare book collection includes 105 volumes from George Washington’s personal library and more than 500 volumes that match those owned by George Washington.

The Washington Library regularly hosts events with historians and authors and is open to researchers by appointment.
