First Lady Melania Trump and Karen Pence, the Second Lady of the United States, visited the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon on Monday, February 27, 2017.
During the visit, the ladies were greeted by Mount Vernon's president Curt Viebranz and Vice Regent Gail Berry West. In the Library's Ann Bookout Reception Hall, the first and second ladies greeted the spouses of 37 Governors, who were visiting Mount Vernon as part of a tour. The first lady delivered remarks and dined with the governors' spouses in the Library's Rubenstein Hall.
The first lady visited Mount Vernon again on April 23, 2018, along with President Trump. They were accompanied by the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife, Brigitte, for a private tour and dinner.
