Mette Frederiksen, prime minister of Denmark, and husband Bo Tengberg paid a visit to Mount Vernon on July 8, 2024. Upon arrival, the couple was greeted by Mount Vernon President & CEO Douglas Bradburn, and the prime minister was presented with a silk scarf depicting the ceiling design of the Mansion’s New Room. Prime Minister Frederiksen signed Mount Vernon’s guest book before embarking on a tour of Washington's estate and Mansion.
