The Supreme Court Historical Society and the George Washington Presidential Library at Mount Vernon joined together in 2019 to present an exciting conversation with Neil M. Gorsuch, associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, about his book A Republic, If You Can Keep It. In it, Gorsuch reflects on his journey to the Supreme Court, the role of the judge under our Constitution, and the vital responsibility of each American to keep our republic strong.
During his visit, Justice Gorsuch and wife Marie Louise received a tour of the Washington Library from Mount Vernon President Doug Bradburn and Library Executive Director Kevin Butterfield. Gorsuch later delivered remarks during a reception on the east lawn at dusk.
