Rawmsley wrote the following in Colonen Dodge’s “special signature” book:
“Here after days of strenuous war and strife
Your greater statesman and his gentle wife
Felt the deep calm of fair Potomac’s breast
And passed back honoured [sic] to their eternal rest.”
