Doors open at 6 p.m. This event takes place rain or shine. Guests must be prepared to show identification for wine service. Pets are not allowed. No outside food or beverages are allowed, except bottled water.

Bring a blanket and relax on the east lawn overlooking the Potomac River.

Explore the Historic Area After Hours

Doors open at 6 p.m. each night.

The Shops at Mount Vernon and Wine Valet Service are open until 8:45 p.m.

The Mansion will be closed during this event.

Mount Vernon can be accessed from the Washington, DC metro by car or by public transportation. 

Concessions by the Mount Vernon Inn will be available for purchase. Credit cards are accepted for concessions.

No outside food or beverages are allowed, except bottled water.

VIP Tables

VIP tables include:

  • Admission for 12 people
  • Three bottles of Mount Vernon house wine
  • A charcuterie tray
  • A fruit tray
  • A dessert platter
  • Private waiter service

Wine Valet

Allow the complimentary Wine Valet (located in the Tasting Tent and
open until 8:45 p.m.) to assist with wine purchases of 3 or more bottles.

Beginning at 7 p.m., wine orders will be delivered near The Shops for easy and convenient retrieval as you exit the estate.

To best take advantage 
of this free service, you must let the attendants at the valet table know when you are done with your bottle purchases before leaving for the evening.

Seating

Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket or small lawn chair to sit on the East Lawn. Seating is not provided. All bags are subject to inspection.

Not Permitted:

  • Large chairs exceeding 25" in width, 25" in length
  • Large strollers exceeding 31" in width, 52" in length
  • Stroller Wagons
  • Coolers, grills, and glass containers
  • Tents and pop-up sunshades
  • Beach or free-standing umbrellas
  • Tables
  • No outside food or beverages are allowed, except bottled water
  • No pets are allowed at evening events
