The ONLY Love Letter From George Washington
The first presidential couple of the United States shared a strong bond admired by the entire nation. In this rare letter from the library at Mount Vernon, a newly appointed general of the continental army, George Washington, shares his feelings of unconditional love to his wife Martha. Martha Washington did not save any of her correspondences with George, but this letter was found behind her desk, and gives us a rare look into their special relationship.
